Actor Martin Sheen held at no-nukes protest
Actor Martin Sheen, known for playing fictional U.S. president Josiah Bartlet on The West Wing, was detained on the weekend for his part in a protest that commemorated the bombing of Hiroshima.

Sheen was released Sunday after being taken into custody on the fringes of the Nevada Test Site.

Along with about 180 other protesters, Sheen was issued a citation for trespassing after crossing police lines Saturday to step onto the desolate outdoor range.

The protest marked the 60th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima during the Second World War. <snip>

2. How dare they treat a sitting president that way
Many of us consider Jed Bartlett to be the real American president in these dark days.

Even if the Republican Senator Vinnick wins, he will be my president (though I greatly prefer Matt Santos).

3. Count on Santos
Alan Alda has said he's not interested in doing another TV series.

make these lame ass arrests for citizens trying to stand up for what is right, yet don't even arrest some repug ass wipe at a gun show who blows another man away, but simply declare it self defense? This sucks, now they may even arrest Cindy down in Crawford for being a national threat.

When did this country become so screwed up?
