Molson Canadian. That sounds good. I always have liked Canadian beer. I remember one time in High River when I was a wrestling coach I was drinking this stuff called Labatt's Maximum Ice, it was like 7.9 percent alcohol. I almost got into a fight with some guy over his wife, oh man, I don't even think I did anything but talk to her and her friend. I was hammered out of it too. It was a wild night.

in 40 oz bottles, of course. I tried a couple of them and it the drunk was like MD 20/20 x 10, w/ a side of really skanky weed, too.

When I was living the Bukowski life I would have guzzled the stuff, but more than once ina blue moon is enough for me..

5. my rowdy days have settled down a lot

Oh, gosh, I barely even drink now. When I do I take it pretty easy too. 4 or 5 beers maybe. Maybe toss in a shot or two. I used to be a wild man, though. I was one miserable drunk too. I imagine you can't hack that stuff too often, the hangover alone would kill me. 11 percent sounds pretty rough.

When I first moved to Tucson I lived with a friend of mine from MT, who likes to drink a lot. I pretty much would fend him off most of the time saying I had to work etc, but sometimes we'd get pretty hammered. The hangovers were just brutal. They ruin me for a few days. I can't drink like I used to when I was 21 or so. Well, I can actually do the drinking part, but I pay for it dearly afterward. This one time my friend and I were so hungover that we threw away some of our leftover beer. I never thought I'd do that before, but we were hurting. Couldn't even look at the stuff without almost puking.

Good lord it was awful.

Me too; it's been a lonnng time since I was flat-out drunk off my ass; a couple years, I guess.

I used to go w/ friends down to The Congress when we were in Tucson and just get wasted watching the bands; that was a good time. I'm glad I never developed anything more than an occasional taster for a Boilermaker, or I'd probably be dead now that way I used to drink..

No kidding. I was lucky I flamed out about when I was 22. I just up and got sick of drinking all the time. I haven't been too bad since then. Most of my friends have alcohol problems back home though. It's sad to see.

Yeah, Congress is a cool place. I've been there a few times. I pretty much keep it laid back nowadays, but every once in a while I'll go do my thing.

I used to love hard stuff. I'd kick back and take shots all night plus drink mixed drinks. I'd feel ok, then once I stood up it would all hit me. I'd go from fairly sober to stupid drunk in about 4 steps, lol. I had to quit that shit and stick with beer. I'd have slugged myself to death if I kept that up. Fuckin' Jose Cuervo is a bad, bad man.

20. I'll never forget Hunter putting the gun to his head

I played an audio dramatization of "Fear And Loathing..." the night he killed himself (I had it planned for a couple weeks)on the station and did a little promotion here on DU telling everyone about it.

I was actually listening to it and posting here when the word got out that he killed himself; it was probably one of the 3 or 4 most bizarre, synchronized moments of my life. I'll never forget that..
