My favorite silent movie; it really struck a chord when I saw it the first time.

40. Not in the literal sense
But I've always been a Mountain Bike freak; single-track riding, especially in the desert. When I ride single-track I always feel like I'm riding am especially rough bull; almost like the harder the single-track, the more the Bull (my mountain bike) is trying to buck me.

Plus, one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid was Pampero Firpo, the "Wild Bull Of The Pampas"..

So, are you both wildly competitive and extremely laid back? Because I am. I'm like a walking paradox on everything.

45. yeah
I'm very laid-back now, but I used to be ultra-competitive when I was younger playing High School football and playing in softball and basketball leagues. I was a pretty good athlete, but I also went my own way, which got me into alot of trouble.

I'm still a complete big 4 sports freak, but I contain my competitiveness to my biking and to a lesser degree, my station.

The fire hasn't burned out, it's just moved to another part of the wick, I guess.

46. I can barely play
a game of checkers without wanting to draw blood, lol. I love competition.

But, I'm older, out of shape and hobbled by injuries, so mainly I'm competitive about writing and things like that. I think running for office will trigger something though. Oh, do I ever hate to lose. Something fierce. So, I imagine once I get rolling on that I'll be in my element again.

I'm a major sports freak too. I switched a little over the years though. Always have been a big pro sports fan, but now I'm more into college sports. I think college football and college basketball, especially March Madness, are about the best entertainment around. Still, Monday Night Football is great. I love Sundays, NFL, NBA and politics. Maybe some pizza and beer. Great time. I do love baseball playoffs too. Hockey playoffs are the shit. The Stanley Cup finals is as compelling as anything out there. Man, do those guys hit hard too. I watched a game in Calgary one time when the Flames played NJ Devils, good lord, you just don't realize how fast and strong those guys are. It's a helluva sport.

So how are you at curling, pretty good? I always thought it looked fun. I want to be a Chris Benoit "Rabid Wolverine" version of those guys with the brooms that always sweep the ice up. Man, that's badass.

Mick Foley? Jeez what do plan on doing, getting beat with lead pipes before you go out and curl, haha.

50. I've changed my mind
I want to be the Goldust of Curling!

I've never been on the ice before; this coming winter will be the first. The first 3 years here I watched Curling every once in awhile and it was pretty blahhh to me; this past March we had the Tim Hortons Brier here and I watched it the first night and the light turned on for me; I became obsessed w/ it.

I've been reading up and learning all I can about it, and I got the winners of the Brier (and best curling rink in the world) to let me link to them on the station, so that was pretty cool.

Randy Ferbey (the skip of the rink) is an anomaly in Curling; he looks more like a bowler than a curler, and is a hero to middle-aged guys in Canada everywhere..

http://www.ferbey4.com/

I planning on going to the local Curling Clubs around my Hood and watching as many matches as I can this year..

Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 03:44 AM by Wetzelbill
Hobbema with his girlfriend of the time. We always would tease him about curling. We'd be out playing basketball when he'd come and visit, and just trash talk him. "Hey pussy, go back to curling" etc. Stuff like that. We'd razz him pretty good, but he said he never ever did it though.

We'd get CBC where I lived too, and I remember my dad would watch curling all the time. It took me years to appreciate it. It's mesmerizing once you catch on to it a little. I can't tell you anything about it really, but I'll be damned if that shit doesn't suck you in.

Good luck though. Let me know how you're getting along. Just don't do the Goldust thing. Please don't. I'll have to tell mom and dad and disown you.

it needs a NEW part! I can't drop it off with them until the 17th. I can ride until then but I'll be grounded ... ... ... high & dry for a few days next week

35. hell no!
You're righteous, idealistic and determined. Plus, evidently I got a speck of dust in my eye when you were almost over. Dust, I said! Honest. :)

You're basically what a DUer is all about.

42. overall observation: 1 of 9 choices not represented: the freeper option
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 02:46 AM by expatriot
There are nine movies that you can be:
8 of the movies have been represented as DUer results so far on this thread. One is absent: "The Godfather." The description?

"You are the Godfather. You are all about power and control, living by the mafia code."

I don't think it's coincidence. The one movie absent as of yet is clearly the "freeper option."
