Good news. I am going back to work tonight |

at a stupid job that I cannot stand working for people who really don't give a shit.
Why is that good news? Because I have been sick for the last three nights and I don't have any sick days or benefits, thus no income for those nights and my wife's unemployment just ran out (she is still looking for a job) . God don't you just love this wonderful ownership economy? It has just about owned me out of everything I've got, including my home.
I have an ear infection that got so bad that my wife had to take me to the emergency room Sat. The pain was somewhat akin to jabbing an ice pick in my ear.
Fortunately they have a fund for people who can't pay . I hope we can access it. But with my luck they will probably say I still own my home . . . maybe I should have waited until after the foreclosure to get sick.
:nopity:
But at least George Bush is getting his well deserved vacation. :sarcasm: He deserves a full time vacation!

I'm so sorry to hear this! Didn't know you guys were in such crummy straits.
I've been there. Those ear infections are the worst! I had to go to the ER for one a few years ago. And you can't even eat solid food because chewing hurts SO BAD!
Please keep your chin up. I'm thinking of you. FSC

so me thinks.
The other night I had take 2 (count em, 2)vicodin and was, shall we say somehat loopy (but my ear didn't hurt for about 2 hours!) I had asked my wife to make me a bowl of soup and then fell asleep sitting up in bed. When she came in with a wonderful bowl of HEB Ccorn and chicken chowder I was so happy. I told her I had just been thinking about soup.
"you asked me to make it"
"I did?"
"that's my guy!"
