I think some crazy bush guy flipped me off today
I was at the foot of Canal Street in New Orleans, and I heard a horn come from a vehicle passing me turning onto Canal. I looked up and I saw a large, green, raised truck with a yellow ribbon on it, and maybe an NRA or a Marines sticker. The driver's arm was lifted way high in the air with his middle finger outstretched, for all the world to see! I didn't think that my simple "Don't Blame, I voted For Kerry" sticker would cause so much angst, but I guess some people can't stand having their fearless leader put down. I got a real rise out of that. Always a good feeling. :-)

3. Man! I never get flipped off for my bumper sticker!
I drove down to Colorado Springs and no one so much as honked at me. There was one dude tailgating me, but I just figured he was a jerk.

4. Especially since "fearless" is now cowering
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 05:42 PM by Patchuli
on the pig farm in fear of running into a mother who lost her son to his lies. I guess that truck driver has a problem with reality like most rightwingers. I got a piece of metal shoved through my tire when I sported a "Bush Lied, Thousands Died" sticker. I guess the truth just pisses some folks off too much to be civil, huh?

On edit: Welcome to DU! :hi:

8. righties cannot deal with divergent points of view at all.
To be a repug nowadays you have to overlook a tremendous amount of issues with that party. When someone points out even one of those shortcomings they see red very quickly.

Belated Welcome to DU!

10. I don't have stickers on my car anymore for a reason
I was followed for miles by an insane Bush supporter, and he finally relented when I pulled into my town's Police Station. I live in a fairly liberal town in a liberal state.

11. While in Arizona, on my way to Prescott,
I stopped a few times to stretch my legs walking in the desert. On two occasions when I came back to my car there was a hand written note of support and appreciation for my bumper sticker "Wars, Lies, Corp. Ties...", certainly better than having my car keyed, which ironically happened at home.
