Wake me when september ends....
You know, this is one of those special songs that builds in intensity but not in tempo....

I just love this song....

With or Without you, another song that does that very well....

It's hard to do...

1. Did you see the video tonight?
It was the "premiere" on VH1. What a great video to go along with a great song.

4. I loved that video and I absolutely adore Green Day
I was watching the Green Day special before the video and it was mentioned (again) that the American Idiot album is really a Rock Opera with all the songs interconnected and in the order of the opera. Makes me wonder if we'll see this Opera come to life.

Green Day is just an amazing group and that video was such a reality about what war is all about - young kids barely 18 being sent overseas fighting the war for grownups.

7. My buddy is working their show
I usually get free passes to any of the shows he comes up here with and I asked for this one. He wrote back and said Green Day is passing up Cleveland this tour. That sucks. I guess I can travel to Dayton.
I am going to see if maybe I can hook up with them at one of the shows, but I have ot check the tour again.
I have a really cool concert I taped from them back in 94 or so. I think it ran on MTV.

9. Yeah, I remember when they came by
But I would have had to pay...LOL. Kidding, I would pay to see them. Do you remember when they did that show in 94-95 when it was only a buck? It was at Blossom.

12. Well..there is the Yin and Yang
The 90s were much more laid back politically and I tried to mix it all together.

22. not quite that old
I'm not quite 47, a few years younger, but I too just love this Green Day, if they are playing anywhere near, get tickets, I saw them a few months ago and am going again in September, fun fun fun and the music and energy was fantastic.

This hurricane of fucking lies

23. I'm the same way even thought they were a fad when Dookie came out
But I'm the type of gal that it takes about 4-5 years for a group to really catch on to me if they are worthy of my adoration. Green Day is the first group in ages that has done that and I've become totally hooked on their music (even have ticktes)

25. Yea but the people my age don't care for the music I like....
The last popular group to cause a stir in "my crowd" was Hootie and the Bowfish,,,,,,,,,

So you can see......

There kids. on the other hand, like it when I'm around.....
