I'm meeting my BF's family next week. I haven't done that since I was 18. (Apparently, he likes me a lot. Go figure. :shrug:)

Will I make a good impression? Will they think I'm a total weirdo? Yikes! I'm scared. What do I do? :scared:

8. Oh dear, be careful

I was visiting with my friend's family briefly while he and I were on vacation. His family is quite uptight about sexual matters, his parents in particular.

I had cramps so I'd had a few Zima's to take the edge off. That loosened up my tongue so I slipped and told a story from my childhood that involved an incident where my aunt had a bad sunburn and had her husband put lotion on it. She was yelping, "OW, not so hard, OW, it hurts, go easier, OW OW", etc. My friend and I (age 12 or so) couldn't see what was going on so needless to say we got the wrong idea and were laughing our heads off.

It wasn't until I was finished telling the story that I saw the tight faces around me and noticed nobody was laughing. :blush: My friend later told me that it was a funny story, but his family just isn't the type to appreciate it.

3. Say to his mom "You're not nearly as passive-aggressive as he said you were!";

4. Sisters always love to hear intimate details about their brother's sex life.

Follow these simple steps, and I'm sure everything will be fine. Or, you could just be your beautiful, intelligent, charming self and they won't be able to help but like you.
