I've read and I heard it again last night on the Green Day special they did before they showed the new video that the American Idiot album is actually a rock opera. All the songs are connected and actually played in the order that they would be done in the opera.

So will there be a Rock Opera put together for the album kinda like how Pink Floyd's The Wall was done?

Just curious

1. I heard...
I heard that they were supposed to make a movie (like The Wall) for the rock opera American Idiot.... I think I read it they were going to start filming in 2006, but I just checked IMDB and I didn't see anything listed... soo..

That's a great album, with or without a movie!

3. So what do you guys think of this album?
I've been thinking of buying it, but I'm not really into that really heavy alternative rock. Is that what it is?

4. It's a worthy purchase
Basically Green Day took off 2 years from recording and put this very political, very anti-bush/war album together. The songs are all amazingly well done and could be made into mainstream hits if the band wanted to go that direction.
