Authorities have identified the gunman in the squidshooting. Bystanders were shocked to find that the shooter was, in fact, the new adopted parent/legal guardian of the squid himself, SUNDOG!

Police were tipped off by the constant denials of owning a crack pipe that was found on the deceased's person (person?).

There is an APB on this sundog, as he has eluded capture.
