2. My iPod SAVED me today

my colleague and I were out in the woods and I heard this odd "keeeeew! keeeeew!" and I figured it was probably either a hawk or a woodpecker. After much fussing around with different bird CD's I have on the iPod, I nailed it as a cooper's hawk.

a product that alot of people consider good, it automatically makes me a lemming for buying one after researching it and alternatives? ive been looking at all number of mp3 players for months, and sure theres others out there that are more cost effective, but the ipod isnt limited to mp3s.

4. Do you really have 10,000 songs?! For many reasons, you got ripped.

At 160bps compression, I can get ~500 MP3-based songs onto 1GB. That's 1/20th your ipod and plenty enough for a comparably priced PDA that can do infinitely more by comparison. (320bps is CD-comparable but it's also dependent on earphone quality... and no earphone comes close to a large Bose or Yamaha speaker set so for a mobile device, 320 is likely mega overkill for most...)

it is a portable usb hard drive... enough room for my cd collection, and with all the accessories you can get... i wont need to use a cd player in my car or anything like that. podcast stuff, hook it up to a stereo, blah blah blah.

goes on. if it were just a mp3 player, i wouldnt have paid that much for it.

its a closeout model i think, from earlier in the summer, pre photo integration. but hell i dont need a photo slide show, i was gonna buy a 6 gig mini for the same price so i decided hmmm 6gig vs 20 gig for same price...

It was $299 for the longest time, I got mine last month for $269. Go to Target and get the Griffen iTrip/car charger combo. Its a good deal.
