I saw a rat last night
I don't think I've ever seen a wild rat before. When I pulled into a lot next to a convenience store, I saw an animal duck into a trash can. Squirrel? Cat? The trash can shook and out popped a rat with a bit of fast food in its mouth. It looked at me and took off under a fence. It was a lot bigger than I expected a rat would be--definitely large enough to be mistaken for a cat--and also a lot sleeker and...well...cuter than I expected.

2. Rats would be cute if it wasn't for that tail!
Now mice...they are cute.

My cat thinks so, too.
