We are but sheep and our shepherd a king,
He guards us in sleep, a herd in a ring.
And we are cleaned white, and we are shorn clean,
And our guard dogs fight, of that we are keen.
And the weak and the frail, they just fade way,
Our merciful guard, he takes them each day.

And we are taught fear, and that keeps us safe,
Our leader is near, at least his dogs are.
Yes we follow him, wherever he leads.
And we never swim, secure in our needs.
And he is with us, surrounded by dogs,
Thank God that he’s just, and so are his dogs.

He just tortures wolves, though some looked like sheep,
Not him, his dogs, that’s the logical leap.
Those dogs he rewards, unless are caught,
If he loves them enough, then caught, their not.
And his dogs keep us safe, when he’s not there,

Sad that those wolves tortured, sometimes were sheep,
Still it is all worth it, safely I sleep.

Who leads him to lie, or at least to wrong,

It is only the sheep, that don’t fit in,

And then we have peace, while their mother cries,
As long’s it’s not us, who cares when one dies.

Protected from naught, turning naught to war,
Enriched and uncaught, our enemies more.
Stewards are bought, and our coffers are poor,
With no end even sought, selling the store.
Were is the end, of the greed without need?
Why seek more profit while families bleed?

And we sheep are most sheep with Christian Faith.
Looking for wealth and to always be safe!
And for justice for all, less they are brown,
Or poor, or odd sexed, or not from our town.
Our mercy was great and of great renown.
Till our greed led us down, let us down,
Down-Down-Down.
And he is our hero, with dog all around.

Unfortunately, poety is dead. I am a Language Arts teacher, and I never get the opportuntiy to teach poetry to my students.

I love poetry. I have a Master's in Writing. Unfortunately, I barely understand complex poetry because I haven't been educated enough to teach poetry in all it's complexities.

I am so proud of Cindy Sheehan. I grew up in Vacaville and I proudly tell everyone I know that Mrs. Sheehan represents the best of my hometown. The hypocrisy of the Coward from Crawford is astounding. He hides from this grieving mother of a fallen American soldier, all the while, under the command of his puppet master Karl Rove, the Republicans have the audacity to claim they "support the troops." They support the troops so much, they have continually cut VA benefits and still refuse to supply the troops (whom they sent there on a lie) with basic needs- such as body armor and binoculars. How dare this president call himself the leader of anything, except the leader of the Party of Cowards. This is no longer an issue of political parties. I am ashamed of anyone who is still being fooled by this administration.

It started with 28 volunteers, and by the end, we had about 700-850 volunteers being buses out to Las Vegas for Kerry. We did turn Clark County blue. Out core group became a PAC and we're still kickin' rethug ass here in sunny So. Cal. :kick:
