1. Garlic.
Anything with more than half a teaspoon and I can not sit, breath, lay down with out my back killing me. It gives me the worst case of heartburn and gas. I have actually thought I had a kidney stone or something before.

13. Dough + many choices
Ground meat with tomato and spices, sour cheese, chicken... the problem isn't with any topping, it's the dough. Maybe it's undercooked or something. It feels like it's fermenting inside my stomach.

22. Indian and Persian food
I love 'em both, but Indian food never settles well. We have a great Persian restaurant here in Boston, on Beacon Hill, called "Lala Rokh" (I think) - the food and the service are A-plus-double-good, but I always wake up in the middle of the night wondering "WTF is going on down there!".

I also have trouble with other types of seafood, like abalone, clams, mussels, oysters, and squid, which don't seem to want to go down, but scallops especially give me problems.

24. Anything with wheat in it!
I've been taking acid reflux prescription medication for over two years. Also got headaches, really bad headaches, almost every day. After a few episodes of headaches, stomach nausea to the point of throwing up, I put two and two together and realized how much food I was eating that started out as wheat. Eliminated it from my diet and I no longer need anything for acid reflux as it is GONE and so are the headaches!

44. Hey, Dem!
My mother-in-law had these same symptoms, including severe diarrhea, which eventually put her in the hospital for a couple of days. There it was diagnosed that she had celiac disease. This is a gluten intolerance, which manifests each time someone, affected by this disorder, eats wheat. You may check with your doctor to see if this is what is troubling you. Your symptoms are consistent with someone with this disorder. Here is the link for the Celiac Disease Foundation's website:

http://www.celiac.org/

While my MIL now monitors her diet assiduously & reads all labels thoroughly, she hasn't had any bad symptoms for quite sometime now. It took them awhile to figure out just what was causing her discomfort, so you are waaayyyy ahead of the game!!

40. Try Licorice Root pills for chronic heart-burn problems.
Found in most any natural foods and supplements store. I tried this stuff for a chronic/building Acid Reflux problem. 1 week later problem is gone! The doctor prescribed pharmaceuticals were expensive and did little to help my problem. I swear by Licorice root supplements now.
