2. First:
slice them on the diagonal

par-boil them for a few seconds - then rinse/soak in cold water to keep them nice and green.

then sautee them with a wonderful olive oil, dash of sea-salt and then at the end, throw in a bit of balsamic vinegar

serve immediately!

enjoy


easy on the salt as the vinegar will make them salty as well

3. I wash thoroughly, break off the ends a bit...
and steam in an upright container...15 minutes or so....till tender...

And then serve right away with butter!

VERY yummy!

4. oh yes i have one!!
preheat the oven to 425, spread the aspargus on a cookie sheet and coat lightly with olive oil and then salt and pepper, i like the kosher salt but use whatever you like. Cook 10-12 minutes or until fork tender, after the aspargus has cooled a bit top it with some crumbled bacon, feta cheese and lemon juice.

9. You've probably had dinner already, BUT....
I've found that if you cut about 1/8 inch off the ends and use a peeler on the tougher bottom half or so, it comes out great no matter how it's cooked.

Steamed or boiled in an inch of h2o is best. For lefotvers served cold, throw some Italian dressing or olive oil & vinegar on it. DEE-LISH!

11. Toss them in a wok with a small amount of...
oil add Hosin Sauce or Soy Sauce and garnish with seaseme seeds.

This works well on Fresh Green Beans too. Kids love them serve them as an alternate to French Fries.

somewhere back in time i read that from an old book about the Babe when he was at some big fancy high society party and the host asked him why he had not touched it on his dish.

as i recall his wife was mortified.
