I believe the album version (days of future passed) was the Mellotron version. A single with an orchestra was released later. Someone correct me if I'm hallucinating.

I'm running a MOTU828 firewire interface on an iBook using AudioDesk2 as the software-

is the Midi keyboard usb? will Reason work with AD2? AD2 is basically Performer w/o the midi clock- just a straight away recording set-up. But I would love to be able to play sampling software and record it...

any thoughts? thanks in advance.

28. Well, Reason isn't recording software, per se.

You can create and save tracks as loops and/or full songs and then export them as .wav or .aiff files to your recording software. I use Guitar Port as an instrument preamp, Acid Pro 4 primarily for recording guitar parts, final mixing & rendering mp3 files, and Reason (and crummy Fruity Loops) for synth and drum parts. You'll have to bear with me; I'm still a newbie when it comes to Reason. :) As for the keyboard- yes, it's USB, so no other interface is necessary.

and so far ahead of their time. "The Great Deceiver" live box shows that band going places most musicians never knew existed. And John Wetton's brandy-rasp voice was the perfect counterpoint to the instrumental textures.

I'd put that group as one of my 5 all-time greatest rock bands.

his bass playing that was so awesome. That guy was playing like nobody else on the scene at the time. And then after leaving KC ... what happened. Nothing. He never played like that again.

That live album is killer. No doubt about it.

40. Greg Giuffria (sp?) was the keyboard player in Angel

I remember them! They always wore white on stage. I actually saw Giuffria's solo group open for Deep Purple on the first DP "Reunion" tour in 1984. They got booed heavily, but IMHO they were pretty good!

IIRC they had a single with a song "Call To Your Heart" in 1984. It sounded a little Journey-esque, but was an okay tune.
