in the case of females it's often considered to amount to objectification--which is a Bad Thing, you know, reducing someone to an orifice...but reducing them to a phallus is Just Fine, because, well, it's the fault of masculine dominance and patriarchy that women are objectified in the first place, and through the scintillating logic of this school of thought you can't objectify or effectively reduce a group in an assumed position of heirarchical sociocultural dominance, anyway...or something like that.
