What DOES Bush really care about?
Golf? Coke? Booze? He's the most egocentric, narcissistic creep I've ever had the displeasure of observing.

7. Getting what he wants...
... that's all. Doesn't matter if he's thought about it, or if he's right.

Spoiled children always insist on getting their way. When they grow up into spoiled adults, they think they know better than anyone else and that's their justification for getting what they want.

Bush's "governance with his gut" is another way of saying, "whatever I want, I should get."

Someone recently posted a thread on malignant narcissism. That's a pretty good starting point for explaining what he cares about.

When this administration is over, I expect (or hope) that many more people will consider the wisdom in Kurt Vonnegut's observation: "There is a tragic flaw in our precious Constitution, and I don’t know what can be done to fix it. This is it: Only nut cases want to be president."

Cheers.

8. Power!
He already has all the money he could ever want. He gets off on thinking he is the president with power.
