I will never say "how much worse can it get?" EVER again

My best friend and I were talking last night about everything that's been going on in our lives recently between sick friends and family and Andy passing away and a bunch of other crap...we were trying to look on the bright side and I said, "well, at least it can't really get any worse, right?".

Wrong.

Her brother-in-law was in a car accident. Broke everything on the left side of his body aboe the waist. Shattered his shoulder. Has bleeding around his heart and spleen. Isn't recovering as well as the doctor's expected. That's bad enough...

She just called and her grandfather stroked out last night. He's totally non-responsive but still breathing. Looks like she's headed up to Boston tomorrow with her daddy to be there when he passes on.

I hereby officially swear on a stack of Bibles that I will NEVER EVER say "it can't get any worse" EVER again. I won't even think it.

Her grampa has been sick for a while and he's up in his 90s I think so we knew this was coming...but that doesn't stop her from hurting. I'm really glad I went and spent time with her last night...it helped both of us I think just to be together.

the universe can't work any other way. It's just going to be difficult. He's gonna have a lot of physical therapy to do.
