Tech guys are the best, better than all the rest
Yes its a tech guy appreciation thread from a tech girl! You guys are smarter, more fun, easier to work with, and have better personalities than any other type.

Ladies, you want to be treated right, find yourself a shy, humble, but endlessly smart tech guy! :loveya:

3. Thanks!
Thanks, I appreciate it too. And you can get free computer help/repair as an added benefit! (Do you know how much we otherwise would charge?? Might as well buy a whole new computer!)

:)

4. I changed careers when I realized that tech guys
were so much easier to work with than MBA/businessmen.

Most have been really helpful in mentoring me along the way. And now I have a manager who is technically great as well as a good manager- couldn't ask for more.

I'm still surprised more women don't go into computer jobs- its probably less sexist than other fields because you are really judged by how good your skills are.

And romantically most are a little shy but rarely the cheating kind, loyal to the core.

5. My two best friends are techs...
...so I can definitely vouch - the two best guys I've ever known, and fun as hell. They also have the best sense of sarcastic humor...

8. My wife feels the same way
She dated Dr's, lawyers, business owners, and tons of guys before she met me, the lowly tech guy who was afraid to talk to her (her pic and mine are on http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x3843868 )

She is happier now then ever before and really likes the techs that work for me. Says they are more laid back and simple then the 'dogs' that used to hound her.

I am no looker (see my pic) but I am a decent guy I think. It's not what the case looks like, it's the hardware inside that makes this computer special!

9. I'm not married but I've dated a lot of men
and with a tech guy what you see is what you get plus more good stuff, and no bad surprises. They always have more well developed interests than the stereotype suggests. They can be trusted, and they like to help you out.

And a lot of them are Dems!

Nice pic, you could be the poster boy tech guy!

11. Might be the air of serenity we acquire after doing it for a while.

You know ..... "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. ..."

It's either that or go off the deep end.
