Do they say "dude" that much out east?
I never noticed when I lived in eastern Canada, but the US is probably different.

17. Ooooooh - "dudeman."
As far as I've heard, that's largely limited in useage to the type of person that's really, really into jam-band music.

11. What part are you from?
I asked you this before perhaps?

I have friends in Springdale, Deer lake and Marystown... still never been though I was a student in New Brunswick and could never afford to go further than Nova Scotia.

God I miss that area.

14. Where I grew up, dude was a slur.
Like "Look at that dude and his hat!"

or "that dude is goin' to be thrown off that calf."

or "That lawyer's dude outfit sure is silly."

15. I do....
It's very prevalent among rock climbers, a group I've been part of for long enough for it to rub back off on me.

My best work friend is from California, and she's been known to use both 'dude' and 'man' in the same sentence! I've picked up 'man' from her, so I think I probably do it now, too :o

16. I have a bad dude-ing habit.
I used to totally shun the word, but then several years ago I was in a band with some heavy "dude" dudes, and now I can't shake it. I'm not THAT bad, though - I have a friend who calls his wife "dude," and I've heard both of them "dude" their infant daugther. And they're not stoners or rock and roll people. Plus I'm in Northeast Ohio, so the coastal thing doesn't apply. I think "dude" is just a lazy speech habit, like peppering sentences with multiple "and so likes" or "fuckin's," and it has pockets of usage pretty much everywhere.

18. All the time man
I used to say it a lot to begin with, coming from the west coast (Washington State), and when I came to Indiana my SO and all his friends say it a lot too. So from being around nothing but my SO and a few friends, I've gotten to the point where I can call my Gramma dude, with a straight face, and not realize what I just said. Thankfully, my family doesn't care. :D

Things most commmonly heard around here- "Hell yeah man!" "What's up dude?" "Heyyyy man" "Later dude"

I use it quite a bit myself. I must admit though...I don't call my women friends "Dude". Maybe "Dudette" in the past, but never Dude.
