What are the best and worst SPORTS MOVIES of all time?

My picks for the best of all time...

-Major League-
I LOVE this movie... and I'm not even that big of a baseball fan.

-Friday Night Lights- I'm biased towards this film since I am a huge high school football fan.

Close but no cigar...

-Remember the Titans- Probably one of the most overrated sports movies ever. Yes, this movie had a great story. Yes, it had good acting for the most part, and I am a big fan of Denzel Washington. But I am also a big football fan, and when you make a football movie, the football scenes must be well rehearsed and filmed. The football scenes in "Titans" were not good at all, which is why it does not make my personal list of great sports movies.
By the way, although the movie heavily implies that the Titans were underdogs, they were in fact one of the best football programs in the entire nation.

The Worst Sports Movies of All Time...

- Blue Chips- Okay, okay... maybe not one of the worst of all time, but one of the most dissapointing?

- The Bad News Bears Go to Japan- This was the last Bad News Bears movie. Watch it and you'll know why.

Close, but no dishonorable mention...

-Space Jam- I've seen this on a lot of "Worst Sports Movies" lists, but come on, this is a movie for kids, not grown ups looking for a quality sports film. Give it up.

Field of Dreams, Bull Durham and A League of Their Own are tops on my list -- and this coming from someone who hates baseball.

Oddly enough, The Natural is on my shit list, but it's for purely personal reasons.

11. Ther's an old one I love that involves baseball--and a cat!

"Rhubarb" is about a curmudgeonly old rich guy who takes in and bonds with an equally curmudgeonly cat; when the man dies, he leaves his (minor league?) baseball team to the cat. And of course, his spoiled adult children try to find ways to undo the will, all the while the guys on the team and their fans have grown to adore the cat, who they consider good luck for the team.

It's a fun movie, from 1951 I think.
