So tomorrow is my first day at a large state university

I start my Latin tomorrow morning....I have waited to take Latin for 20 years...

41 years old...have been back for awhile (am almost a senior) but, this is my first time on the campus of a large state school...ever in my life.

I feel like I am going to throw up.

I don't know if I can remember my locker combination.

My stomach is too upset for a shot of Jack Daniels.

Oh, I know I'll be fine...Latin teachers intimidate me. After all of the doctors I have worked with in my life....Latin teachers just flat out scare the hell out of me.

3. Other people will be feeling the same way you do

Make sure you have a map of the campus and know where the classes are being held. Hope your class size isn't huge, and that you do well. One thing that I have always found that is helpful is to sit in the front row and watch the instructor studiously.

And I didn't have any problem getting around and meeting people. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to get my degree. That's the problem I had. Oh, and I was 30 when I went back to school.
