Recommend a dial-up ISP that doesn't kill you with ads & crap?
My SO's parents would like access to the internet and email, but don't want to do broadband or dsl.

Is there a dial-up ISP that doesn't load up their computer with stupid offers and pop-ups?

I understand netzero and earthlink are notorious for doing that?

Thanks for any advice or experience. :hi:

1. I had earthlink three years ago and they weren't bad then
I've also had MSN and SBC in the the not so distant past and I don't recall having any trouble with them. Of those three I liked Earthlink the best.

3. go "local"
Although Alltel is a huge corporation if they have access
to them locally there are no ads. *All* you get is dialup software
and some browswers, dial in to local number, connect and use
whatever programs you want.

4. Never had any problems with earthlink. No ads either.
I've been on broadband for 3 years now, so I've had no experience with Earthlink since then, but I'm pretty sure they're still a good company.

5. Thanks . . .
Good to know that Earthlink doesn't load you up with ads and offers!

I'll check them out and look into Alltel too.
