Anyone know where to find the DU glossary?
Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 12:17 AM by intheflow
Once there was a very comprehensive glossary of many of the abbreviations and nicknames commonly used on DU. It used to be linked to in Demopedia here, but I get the dreaded "Page cannot be displayed" screen of death when I click it.

6. Specifically,
I was looking for "meme". I've read it before, but for some reason, that's the one abbreviation that I can never remember.

I will die without that glossary! I used it all the time! :( Now I'll have to sound like a newbie every 5 seconds asking what abbreviations stand for. :eyes:

7. It's sumthin like this...
Ideas are disseminated in discourse in a manner similar to the way genetic material is disseminated in nature. So a "meme" is a basic unit of an idea, analagous to a "gene" which is a a basic unit of life.

At least this is what I've been led to believe.

5. Yes, I could get into Demopedia, but
that only goes through "B". I was trying the Amy Strange link on Demopedia, that was the whole glossary.
