Question for Mac iTunes users re: making Mix CDs.
Hey there peeps.

So, I'm a complete dumbass when it comes to computers, I admit. (There's probably lurking freeper or two who just read that last sentence and got a huge boner. I'm glad I could be of service, freep.) I've been creating Playlists on iTunes using songs I'vbe imported from CDs. When I play these Playlists from start to end, there's this cool "segueway" effect...one song fades out while the next fades in, like on the radio. I dig it!

Anyhow, when I try to burn a CD of this playlist, there's no segueway, just a half-second of jarring silence in between tracks. I want the damn segueway! I want the tracks to bleed together like they do in iTunes.

I tried adjusting the Preferences, and I've wasted about ten CDs trying to get it just right.

Can someone help me out? OR am I doomed to make mix CDs with silence between tracks forever?

Danke!

1. I just cut the silence between tracks
It's been forever since I actually burned a CD with iTunes (I use Toast), but I just reduce the amount of time between tracks...it's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's sort of close.

2. Yeah, I did that....
The smallest amount of silence I can get is "none," but I want LESS than NO silence! I want the songs to continue playing together like they do when you play 'em back in iTunes, consarnit!

Thanks for the advice anyhows.

I'm guessing that I'll probably have to buy some 6000 dollar piece of equipment to be able to get that effect....
