22. All you have to disagree with in this poll to be an economic liberal is...

If you think government spending and taxes SHOULDN'T be reduced by 50%
If you think government welfare programs SHOULDN't be replaced by private charity and if you think "corporate welfare (i.e. business incentives) shouldn't be eliminated totally, then you are a liberal.

Wow, that is scary that only 18 percent of respondents are "liberal"

but you see the opinion polls where only 18 per cent of Americans identify themselves as liberals and like 35 per cent as conservatives. These questions are obviously phrased to get certain responses

"Let people control their own retirement," "government welfare," etc. but still... the bar for the "liberal rating" is set very low.

25. Also, I didn't know that supporting corporate welfare was a liberal issue

I am seeing a lot of scores here with a 20% economic score and I am willing to bet that 20% comes from saying "disagree" with corporate welfare." I said "agree" because I think there are _some_ instances where government incentives to private business are okay but over all, generally speaking, I think it's a bad deal. I thought that me saying I disagreed that it should be totally ended would hurt my liberal rating but evidently it put me at 0%.
