New York City police pressed no charges against 10 bare-breasted women who demonstrated their rights to go topless as men do.
The group was led by Jill Feeley, who was arrested Aug. 4. She was ordered by two police officers to put her top on, refused, and spent 12 hours in custody. Feeley was released without being charged.
While she is planning a civil lawsuit against the police over the incident, she was glad to have them around in the Sunday afternoon protest, as the women were rushed by a group of drooling men, the New York Daily News said. <snip>
Feeley is a self-described gypsy who says she lives in an RV powered by vegetable oil. <snip>
