My baby is going to London!
I just helped my 22 year old son buy a plane ticket online to go to London to see his girlfriend in November. She is going to school there this year.

It is so hard to believe that my baby is big enough to get on a plane and fly across the Atlantic Ocean!

When they are born, no one tells you they grow up so fast.

1. The baby that I know?
Wow! You know he is a real cutie, I think I probably told you that about 5 or 6 times.

When my son flew to Cuba by himself he was 19 and it killed me to let him go. I think I sobbed all the way home.

4. No my younger baby - #2
He is always working so he has never come to our meetups. He has a wonderful girlfriend. She is getting a full scholarship to a school in London. So #2 has been working two jobs to save money so he can go visit her. He finally saved enough to buy his plane ticket. He is pretty excited. :)

#1 - the one you know - has the (now ex-) girlfriend from hell. I will have to fill you in on her princessness (that's my pet name for her). :grr:

8. Ohhh you told me about her.
Lots of fun eh? We will have LOTS of time to talk tomorrow! I am too excited to sleep and I still need to clean out my truck! Boooooo.

He sounds like a great kid and he should be excited, that is really cool.

But I am too excited. :woohoo:

Don't worry about that truck. I have low standards.

3. I feel for you
it hasn't happened yet but I know it's coming. It really feels like such a short time ago that they were taking their first steps! I know intellectually that this is normal and we raised them to be independent but it actually happening is too unreal.
