2. Go to an Asian grocery store and get real soy sauce there
It's cheaper, too, and you can get a variety -- Tamari, Chinese, light, whatever.

3. hmmm-- not in any of my soy sauces....
Edited on Tue Aug-16-05 11:46 AM by mike_c
Even my kecap manis is sweetened with palm sugar rather than corn syrup, but not one of the soy sauces I have in my cabinet has any corn syrup in it. You need to change brands, methinks!

5. I have a grocery store brand, Kikkomen's.
No corn syrup. Try a new brand.

Avoiding prepackaged foods whenever possible helps cut down on it. I even make my own bread in a bread machine, now.

7. Try the health food store
I get San-J brand usually and I know there's no corn syrup in it. Prices are comparable to or slightly better than the weak-tasting kind at the grocery store and the soybeans are organic instead of GMO.

11. Ever since I found out
they put sugar in our salt, I haven't been surprised to hear what they put in other things to fatten us up and addict us to their products.
