YOU'RE A CAT - you are NOT a DOG!!!!
This Morrissey is so silly - he's driving me crazy! I know lots of cats play fetch, but he will not give it up and leave it alone! I wadded up a piece of paper and threw it, and he brings it back and keeps coming back for more. This could go on for hours unless I put a stop to it. Poor Simba tried to play too, but Morrissey would always beat him to it. Silly kitty.

1. One of my kitties did that too
And when he got tired of fetching he would "hide" the paper wad in his water dish.

2. Hmmm... seems to me Morrissey's an X-Cat
ya know, the next step in cat evolution? I have a houseful of those critters. They're all mutants.

Indulge Morrissey. He's actually training YOU. It's an important part of his formative years. :D

3. Oh, I have two that do that
They're litter mates and they both LOVE fetch. As many cats as I've had in my life, I've never, ever had one that played fetch and now I've got two. I enjoy it and play it as long as they want to, even though my arm starts bothering me. Mainly because I look at my older cats who don't play anything anymore, so I'm determined to enjoy the younger one's kitten-hood as much as possible.

The toy of choice is a marvelous thing. Mainly because it's the only toy, ever, in all the years I've owned cats, that cats actually love. It's just a dense pompom of some sort; we call them the fuzz balls. But the kittens adore them and bat them around like crazy, as well as the endless games of fetch. It's adorable to see them sashay down the hall, after retrieving the fuzz ball, with it in their mouths like they really scored something from a major safari.
