when good things happen it always seems too little too late.

I finally got the job I have waited for, however, it may be too late to save my home from foreclosure, and frankly, this job was so that we could stay here. If we lose this place I am not sure I can stay in this area emotionally.

Also, there is good news about my wife's employment search. An employer is interested in flying her in for an interview with the board. It would be a good job but is about 1500 miles from here.

I'm trying to be happy, really.

Have you called your mortgage co. to let them know the status of everything?

They might work something out if they know money is coming. Foreclosure is a losing proposition for them and they know that. If they know you'll be having money coming again, they will most likely work to avoid foreclosing, as it costs them more to do that than they could ever hope to gain.

3. We've been talking to them

but will still have to come up with some money now to make it work. We haven't given up yet.
