3. Sorry to be cranky; the incessant copycatting gets

annoying occasionally, and I'll bet you get annoyed with it too.

One of the things I like about the Lounge is that there are a lot of people talking about a lot of different things, and when the copycat posts overwhelm everything else, it's like when a little kid says something that you laugh at, so then he or she figures that if it's funny to say once, it must be funnier to say fifty times over and over again, and the copycat posts that at first seem so clever just get goddamn boring, not to mention AWFULLY repetitious, and I'm sure that at least a few people will consider me to be a party-pooping old crank for saying this, but what the hell, it's just an opinion and this is the place to express those, yes?

It's a thing of beauty when someone gets it right. But usually you get 98+% dreck before that nice one comes along. Cf. my own thread earlier. :D
