were ESD champs. In 1978 with our Orange Crush defense!!! Of course, I was just a junior in the band, and I went home after performing at halftime rather than sit in the ice-cold stands with a piece of orange construction paper chanting "orange crush, orange crush, orange crush!!" and of course, parenthetically "Mitchell sucks!!"

Now we are such a small school, with the shrinkage of the town and the growth of rival towns, that we probably do not even belong in that conference any more.
