I go under the knife tomorrow.
Not a big deal, they say.
Basal cell carcinoma on my lower right eyelid.
"Best" kind of skin cancer to have, they say.
"Surgical excision."
"Mohs Micrographic Surgery"
In and out in a couple of hours, probably.
Some bruising and discoloration for a few days.
Couple of stitches.

Good karma and kind thoughts desired and willingly accepted.
Prayers too.
Might as well cover all the bases.
Wish me luck.
;-)

3. Best to ya!
My wife has had a couple of those. She did fine through it all and she is admittedly a whimp. :D

6. good luck!
i've had basal cell -- it's fine.
i've had the ickier skin cancers too.

as long as they ''get it all'' -- it's all good in this case.
though couldn't you get yours a little further away from the eye?

i'll be thinking about you -- cause it's always weird to have someone come near you with the ''c'' word.

16. Um...how icky? Miz t. had a melanoma over three years ago.
Lymph node removal and all. still clean as a whistle, but she's kind of doing her nut over my case because of her experience.
She's going with me tomorrow, but I'm not sure which one of us will best be able drive back home.

Just hold good, healing thoughts. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but I am very glad that they caught it before it became more serious.

Take care of yourself, and let us know how it goes.

Just don't call me "Squint".

More plausible?

Good luck tomorrow. Let us know how you fare.

Good deal, the best for getting all basal cell with minimal normal tissue being sacrificed. Again, I predict all will be well.

24. Good Luck...
... my dad had a several of those removed from his neck, and arm. Barely any scar at all... for him it was safe, quick, "painless" and effective.

You'll be fine!

May they get every last cell of that nasty shit.

Now you can make up some cool story about how you got your scare. Maybe something involving an anti-Bush march, an egg and the Secret Service.
