28. I haven't been good company this week ... but that's changing.

I'll be away from my computer a little more for a short time. I want to stay outside enjoying my friends the hummingbirds before they start to migrate a month from now. Perhaps I'll even take Frodo with me for a drive down to Cape May after Labor Day is over. I'd like to see what the annual Hawk count is telling us about the health of our environment.


I missed you too Bill. I enjoy my DU friends although most of them can't give me a real live hug when I need one but all of you are very special to me anyway. I hate to think how empty my life would be without my new friends from DU. Only 5 short years ago I commented about not wanting to join cyber space now it's hard for me to walk away from the computer.

Attorney was my first (and naive) choice of professions, ya know, Huskerlaw, but I found myself unsuitable to the profession (and vice versa) and became a journalist, instead. After more than 20 years, I switched professional gears . . . but journalists and lawyers still are among my closest peers/friends.
