Girl (16) raped in plain day
it has apparently become less safe.

I live a 20 walking minutes away from the riverside where people are bbquing, swimming, be around with family and when there are festivals visitors come camping on the camping site next to the grass plain. Theres a beach volley field and a natural refugee just next to the area. Each year many of the teens who exit secondary schools camp the last days of the school and party togheter before they spread in all directions. A cesspool of people and amusements a sanctuary to me in the midst of people, a place i frequent and was part of my homestead for nearly 2 decades. All in all it's a pleasant and peaceful place for enjoyment and even if there are many people it takes a lot before it appears to be crowded.

only trouble so far was some 3 years ago there was a "white" (because they wore white) gang terrorizing this place beating up visitors but they we're gone quick.

Last sunday there was a very disentchanting event. A young woman was raped in PLAIN FUCKING DAYLIGHT when she walked this place on the riverway. if it was a very rainy day and there couldn't have been many if at all people. But still it's a route frequented by joggers, dog owners, private security and police in search for junkies(!).

I can't wrap my mind around the fact this has come to pass there and then. What does that say when frequented ways in daylight aren't even safe to walk anymore?

I just don't get it how it has come that far. And i live in a "upper scale neighbourhood". I'm so pissed. The thought of having guys running around in my homecommune raping in daylight pushes adrenaline level to "want-to-go-berzerk-level". i can't have that. i get angershivers from it. Fuck. I feel co-responsible for maintaining at least a tolerable environnment of the place i live at. This isn't. but what can one do..i'm at a loss.

:wow: :grr: :nuke:

1. Did this happen in or near Bern?
I understand your sense of frustration, but some reason, I feel _much_ safer living in Switzerland than I felt in the US.

I can't believe someone didn't see or hear anything, or try to prevent the rape.

Take good care of you, N_M.

3. that's awful
I understand you're frustration. I'm from a small town in MT where nothing like that happens. Well, when I went to school in Seattle, Washington, about two blocks from where I lived a young lady was raped and murdered in the lot of one of our other school housing apartments. In fact, I went to the store that night and was right across the street in the same time frame when it might have happened. I doubt it happened right then, probably a little later on, but I felt really frustrated about that. Yeah just can't let that stuff get the best of you. Be mad, but do the best you can to keep the ones you love safe and keep living your life like you always do.
