The Theme for this challenge/contest is “Hot Days of Summer”. 10 very talented DU photographers have presented a photo here that represents that theme to them. Please take a moment (or moments.. if you are on dialup :-() to look these over and then vote for your favorite.

The "Title" for each photograph is listed directly above it. Voting will end around 10:00am EST on Saturday, August 20th.

My first clue that this photograph wasn't your typical "day in the water" was in the title.... the part where it said fair. I'm perceptive that way.

Each artist did an excellent job of conveying the "feel" of Summer. I was surprised to see so much variety and creativity. Definitely a "big tent" collection. I was expecting to see a dozen shots of BBQ grills.:D

26. The feet do look funny. It also brought up a lot of memories for me

When my brother and I were youngsters and we got to rambunctious,as young boys do, our mother would say, "I think we'll have chicken for dinner tonight. You boys run out and catch one of the chickens." We ran after the chickens for what seemed like hours but never caught one. Boy! were we tired. We would go in chicken-less and mom would have dinner ready (she didn't really want the chicken) and the both of us would almost fall asleep at the dinner table.
My hats off to this young man - he caught the chicken.

All the photographs are great as always.

But I voted for Hannah at the beach. The theme is 'hot days of summer' and I think this photo represents the theme best. Looking at some of the photos - they could have been made in any other season.

Anyway, enough about my reasons to vote the way I voted :)

Great job guys. I am thinking of buying a cam and start participating in the DU contests :)
