Why do fundies hate Christian rock?

I don't get it. I see fundie sites saying that all rock music is evil and Christian rock is just a plot by the devil to trick people into thinking it's OK to listen to it and it's still not, and I see that under the rules of Bob Jones University students may not bring any CDs of any type of rock music including Christian rock. But they don't explain why.

So why? Why do they consider it just as evil?

6. I don't know but my cat Pad Thai loves it

he sits on the radio and actually selects a station (I never set it!) that plays Christian rock. He usually does this at 2 in the morning. I've gotten so I kind of like it now. (Cats - they hold you hostage).

25. Christian rock is bad because:

being 'rock' makes if "of the world". Seriously! My dad hated when I (being a good little church girl and listening to only Christian music) started listening to Christian Rock. "As Christians, we're supposed to be set apart from the world, and listening to the same type of music is just another way of fitting in. No one will take time to listen to the lyrics, they'll just hear the music and you'll appear to be just like the rest of the world (ie listening to satan's music)".

I shit you not, this is their mentality. So now, I rock out to the likes of Disturbed, Godsmack, AC/DC and such when I want to cool down after a hard day. Nice try Dad!
