You're Countryx( /Celtic music!. You like something with a good beat, something that matches your mood. Ususally has a guitar in it.

Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 01:42 PM by deadparrot

You're classical music! Let's hear that Beethoven and Bach! And really, who cares if it's not in style, it fits every mood!

5. I'm a thumping heavy bass guitar, I have a very funky beat,
there are lyrics of power to the people, there is a gospel chorus behind me, and maybe just maybe Johnny Cash is somehow involved.

8. WTF? I'm rap?
I hate rap! I like Bach and Blues and headbanger metal and 60's rock. I like girls with great voices who sing out their anger. Rap? It doesn't move me, doesn't inspire me. Give me some good old deather child Goth and I'm happy.

Rap?

Khash.

27. Do you want a shoulder to cry on?
I'm with you on rap - the little I've heard strikes me as being closer to a genre of poetry than of music, and I've never been a poetry type myself.

31. Only if it's your shoulder
Not a poetry type? Oh come on! Swinburne, cummimgs, Edna St.Vincent-Millay? Sylvia Plath? Dennis Cooper? Have you no soul?

Man oh man, the boy loves Wagner but has no room for poetry!

Khash, shaking his head and sighing.

32. I know that I'm a hopeless philistine.
I think that I'm too immersed in music, and have a slight interest in prose, and thus for me personally poetry hangs somewhat uneasily between the two.

Oh, and of course you can have my shoulder to cry on any time you want it.

20. I got rock
which is what I asked for. Tried it again with the same answers only I asked to be country :D /celtic and it still came up rock.
In 1999, I classified my CD collection and it looked like this:
53 rock/metal
31 country
24 pop
14 mellow (Anne Murray, etc.)
13 oldies (Elvis, Chuck Berry)
11 classic
7 christian pop

I probably have not bought that many CDs since, except The Sweet's greatest hits last year. Is that an oldie, pop, or rock?

26. Classical - duh
You're classical music! Let's hear that Beethoven and Bach! And really, who cares if it's not in style, it fits every mood!

But I don't like Beethoven - I normally only play it during thunderstorms (it works very well with windows wide-open and the volume turned right up).

Bach - well, he's obviously the greatest ever by far - and indeed I more C.D.s of him than anybody else, but that's mainly because I grabbed his complete organ works (20 on one go there); for time listenned to, he's a far way down my list though.

One point about the questions - when it asked about one's favourite style of art Picasso was in the same category as Monet and both were referred to as "The older styles" :wtf: when I say older style in art I mean more like 1500.

30. I'll happily call him one of the greatest composers ever
But, he just doesn't really rock my boat.

I go earlier than him (much earlier), and I go much later than him, but I leave a gap in the 19th century only really excepting Wagner and some uber-trashy Victoriana.
