OMG Corset Piercing.

I would need to be more than just intoxicated to have this done to my body, like dead. Corset piercing involves multiple rings on a persons back with ribbon laced between them.

She is a piercer and tattoist in apprenticeship.

She was very interested in learning the tattoo trade and a local tattoo artist saw her art and thought she had the talent, so agreed to let her apprentice with him. He started her out as the piercer, probably to see if she was in the least bit squeamish about blood, needles ,etc. She wasn't, and she tattooed grapefruit and oranges for a while before she did people.

One of the reasons he hired her (she now knows) was to have a female in the shop to do the personal piercings on women. He does not like to do them, and the women are more comfortable with a woman doing them anyway.
She has told me some funny stories about personal piercings.

She has 3 tattoos and her navel is pierced, but that is all.

The standard tattoo apprentice ship is 3 years; it is not the same kind of licence that a nail tech or hairdresser has to have. The business is licensed, not the operator. Wierd.

But she loves it. I asked her tonight about corset tattoos and she said they don't like to do them because they are not permanent ..people mostly do them when they are going to a tattoo convention in hopes of getting their picture in magazines.

I read an article about women in tattooing, apparently the numbers are still pretty low. For a long time the profession was male dominated, and any woman taking interest in the work, was put through hell to apprentice and learn.

She'll earn a very good living once her apprenticeship is over...I heard some artists can earn well into six figures!

It isn't nearly as bad as it looks (pain-wise). It was a birthday present for a fellow I'd been dating on-and-off for about three years. He and I really found corsets sexy, so this seemed like a great gift. He was extremely grateful. ;)
