Poll question: CONFESS!!™ Who reads the end of a book first?

This prompted by a post in the Non-Fiction forum.

I'll NEVER understand why anyone would read the last chapter first. It is literally incomprehensible to me.

I even cover up the last sentence or paragraph in a chapter, so I don't accidentally read it, if I think it's going to spring a surprise on me.

Your method of prolonging the book is intriguing - I'm going to try it on the next novel I read. (I may re-read 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time to test it out. I blazed throught that book in one day back in January.)

but I only read non-fiction so that's NOT quite the same. if it were a novel, NO WAY>

if a good movie is on TV that I have not seen before, but it's already been on for a few minutes, I won't even watch it since I want to see it from the beginning.

same thing with books. I can't not start from the beginning.

I really related to Woody Allen's Alvy Singer in "Annie Hall" who would not even go into the theater if even the previews had already started.

Though, I'm not that bad that I'd never set foot into a theater if they had started.... I'd be very disappointed, though. I think I've done it maybe once or twice in my life.
