Which OTC pain reliever do you prefer?

I prefer Aleve or Advil.

2. Tylenol usually does it for me

Usually, although after I pulled a chest muscle I found Motrin to be a good pain reliever too.

6. Plain Bayer Aspirin is the only thing that works for me.

Advil makes my head pound, and Tylenol doesn't do anything.

9. tylenol has no effect on me either

and as for Advil - same thing as Motrin, Ibuprofen, etc. That stuff increases your blood pressure and it is also similar to Aleve. Both of these drugs were *almost* caught in this Vioxx/Celebrex thing in case people have forgotten. Next I suspect ...

...the least expensive generic aspirin on the shelf....nothing takes the pain of a headache away any faster; lasts longer, too.

P.S....a chemist told me, recently, that aspirin is pretty toxic stuff and that if it were to have been approved, today, for OTC dispensing....it might not have been approved....

21. generic ibuprofen. After I finally bit the bullet and decided to

just take the 600 mg two times a day for all my various body pain, I am finally starting to feel human.

I have pain in my hip, knee and ankle on the right side, and chronic low back pain from an old injury.

Plus hand and wrist pain from too much time on computers.

and fibromyalgia, though not severe.

for now, the IB is doing the job. My physician recommends it. She told me I could go to 600 mg x 4 times a day but have not needed to do that.

It has made all the difference Tylenol won't touch that kind of inflammatory process.

Tylenol however is good for a headache but I don't get those like I used to
