I said I dislike Debussey (which is true enough) on a thread all about how wonderful Debusey is along with Monet (on whom I'm not terribly keen either). Nobody jumped up and called me nasty names, nobody responded that my beloved Messiaen is a cacophony of row. Is there something about it as a subject which makes it flame-proof?
