if only because most of the bands on your list owe their careers to them!

3. It was two or three days after the 2004 election...
...and Jon Bon Jovi stood on a stage and told the audience that we lost, and that we needed to put it behind us and "let the healing" begin.

This was televised right around the time of John Kerry's concession speech. I thought it was a good time for Jon to S.T.F.U. because emotions were running so high, but I guess his message of healing was just too gosh darned important.

So...while I don't want to start a "Jon Bon Jovi 2004 Election Let The Healing Begin Flamewar Thread," I don't think I'll ever be able to see / hear him again without thinking of that moment.

I mean, yeah...we have WORK to do...but "healing?" My healing will start in January 2008.

7. Weezer, yes...
Hair bands, no. I'm still freaked out by the Whitesnake video with that Tawny Kitaen girl sprawled on the hood of the car. (Didn't she go on to beat up her baseball-player boyfriend a few years ago???)
