18. Work's been a string of screwie, out of the norm events
today. Things that didn't show up, people that weren't where they were supposed to be, stuff that didn't work the way it should. It wasn't exactly smooth.

29. the jonnyblitz international gay and lesbian film festival
continues...

Trembling Before G-D.

<snip>
Trembling Before G-d is an unprecedented feature documentary that shatters assumptions about faith, sexuality, and religious fundamentalism. Built around intimately-told personal stories of Hasidic and Orthodox Jews who are gay or lesbian, the film portrays a group of people who face a profound dilemma - how to reconcile their passionate love of Judaism and the Divine with the drastic Biblical prohibitions that forbid homosexuality. As the film unfolds, we meet a range of complex individuals - some hidden, some out - from the world's first openly gay Orthodox rabbi to closeted, married Hasidic gays and lesbians to those abandoned by religious families to Orthodox lesbian high-school sweethearts.
<snip>

http://www.tremblingbeforeg-d.com/about/index.html

i have watched a ((slew)) of gay and lesbian films (mostly foreign) in the last 2 to 3 weeks. so many good ones i never knew existed until i looked around.

so my film festival continues (while reading/posting on DU) :smoke:

30. It's past and gone now
The evening that is - I'm just not looking at the clock though, in the hope of turning into a wolf.

I spent it looking after/entertaining my two young cousins (where is the 'tearing one's hair out' smily?).

Hope that work's not too busy for you, love to see you boogie. :D

33. You mean it's Friday night already?
And is there a full moon?

I'm out of it. I admit that. I'm still reeling from my first week back to classes in community college. My mind is blown. I know why people run around naked whilst yelling in all those college movies now. They've gone mad from dragging 400 pounds of books around all day long, getting up so early, getting quizzes the first week already, meeting up with the English teacher from hell the first day when they expected to see one of their favorite teachers instead. Yeah, they've gone freeking nuts. I know I have. I feel the strongest urge to start drinking tonight and not stop until Sunday night very late just to erase the memory of this hectic week with no sleep. I miss DU so bad...
