May I just say thank you George Clooney! As far as actors go Clooney is a real asset to the democratic party.
While their are plenty of celebrities that go above and beyond in their activism, for the moment I would just like to thank George Clooney for being a very intelligent, thoughtful, reasonable, and overall kind hearted person.
His appearances on Fox dueling Bill O'Reily were great. I have to respect someone that will go into the belly of the media beast and be honest about what is going on in this country.
I love that he is making a movie about Edward R. Murrow, I love that he is using his incredibly gifted directing skills to tell the tale of what real journalism is. McCarthy-ism was the height of American propaganda and psychological warfare, it became the foundation of what Bushco is doing today. Clooney shining a spotlight on the fight that brought McCarthy down will purposely highlight the problems within our own Corporate Media. At a time when American's confidence in the corporate media is at an all time low, a movie reminding America of how great journalism can be, is a wonderful gift. Like it or not, movies and art are a significant part of our culture surviving, I love actors and storytellers, they inspire the masses into action. I think George Clooney deserves some attention for having the guts to try and tell that story. His movie will be controversial and it will become a big problem for the RW corporate media.
I'm also psyched that his good friend Steven Soderberg is directing the Che Guevara bio pic, the masses deserve getting to see the life of Guevara without all the RW spin. He was a great champion of the lower class, I hate that the RW has tried to turn him into a complete monster. I think that Bencio Del Toro will be wonderful as the revolutionary Che.
So to all those actors that desperately need kudos for being honest when it mattered, thanks a lot.
BTW I also think that George Clooney is smoking hot, cause he is.
