12. YEA! Khash is smiling!
I NEVER let people take nude pictures of me!

I wandered around here www.rosencomet.com for 3 days, until I was certain there was no one I knew from my hometown ... before I shed my clothes to walk around a huge bonfire. On my first time around ... I was asking myself 'why' because I wanted the shelter of my cloak before I was 1/2 way back to where I had carefully placed it on a log. When I'd made it around the first time, I decided that it wasn't so bad. At the end of my second turn, I was walking a bit more carefree. By the time I finished my third and final walk around that HUGE fire I had added the energy of the light to my heart. I walked over to my green moleskin cape and picked up my newly purchased green lace cape ... as it settled around my naked shoulders the very rare Green Caped Joani was born.

Namaste

25. Liberating, isn't it?
I used to sunbathe nude all the time when I lived in the country. I miss it still.

26. Definitely!
I don't 'sunbathe' because I find too many interesting things to do. However I do enjoy having the house to myself, like this weekend. One house mate is in Vermont while the other one is painting a new location for her rock shop.

... :) home alone ...

4. I'm taking the opposite side on this one...
I was driving home yesterday and this amazing guy had his shirt off and he had an eagle tat between his shoulder blades. And I was gawking so hard I nearly ran off the road. So maybe clothes should be mandatory. For public safety.

Khash.

10. 75 percent of the populace should not be seen naked
And it stands to reason 90 percent of Internet users should be garbed (including myself).

Save it for the communes, folks.

13. Speaking of which
I was in line at the DMV the other day, and in the line next to mine stood a cute, thin, 25-ish blond with magnificent chestnut colored 37DD's tucked into a white tank top that showed about 3.8" of cleavage. In such a case, since they are be displayed so proudly, is it OK to gawk and/or complement them out loud?

I bring this up because SHE obviously would like to be nude, and at that moment I was in favor of public nudity as well.

14. So be naked in private..but I'm *really* glad I don't have to see naked
people when I go to the supermarket, for example. There are many, *many* people whose naked bodies are...um, acquired tastes.

I look 9349873498% better in clothes myself.

21. Nude is good in certain instances,
not all of them sexual. I do like to have the house to myself and not worry about clothes. The thought of being in a community of nudists has its appeal. But to be out in public in the raw would be impossible unless it was part of a larger group.

23. I would be fine with public nudity
I found the senior tradition at my college of walking across campus naked to be rather liberating. I am somewhat insecure with my body but it really isn't any stronger nude than wearing fashionable clothing. I think that I would be more secure with myself if people of all shapes and sizes and ages went naked.
I don't know why many people find many people naked disgusting. So what if you aren't attracted to them. You see clothed people who you are not attracted too, but don't have a problem. I have only seen one person nearly naked that bothered me, which I won't go into detail about. I am sure if people went around naked all the time though, I wouldn't have even been bothered in that case.

24. I belonged to a clothing-optional club in Topanga Canyon
that no longer exists, a very nice place called Elysium. It has swimming pools, jacuzzis, tennis courts, massage, all types of new-agey things.

I also went to the original Woodstock, where I swam naked with several hundred other people, and have been to nude beaches, which are often rather creepy, due to the voyeur element. This is the exception, however.

The novelty of being nude evaporates after about the first ten minutes, when you've seen everything you are going to see. It is not particularly sexual, either. People who haven't been in mass nude settings generally refuse to believe this, however. It actually feels normal to be naked, and later strange to put on clothes.

The other side effect of being at a nude gathering place is that virtually no one has a perfect body, even those who are athletic, so one becomes more accepting of all bodies. We are overly critical of our bodies because they don't live up to the fantasy perpetuated by media images foisted on us to sell us things. Human bodies that aren't perfect can be actually quite interesting.
