Software question
I'm pretty hip about software, but I'm having a major problem with one of my hobbies and I could use some advice, or at least the name of a program that will help.

I collect fonts. Font collecting is really fun, and since it's all virtual, there is no clutter from it. ;)

I get most of my fonts through mailing lists and usenet, but there are some websites which are devoted to font collecting as well, and some of them are huge. Instead of trying to download them one at a time, I use Teleport Pro to site "rip" them with an automated process which helps enormously.

There are, however, several sites at which Teleport Pro just doesn't seem to work. I think it may be because they're using CGI or PHP for their download process, but I don't know exactly. All I know is that I can't get them the easy way.

If anyone knows of programs that do site rips, let me know. Besides Teleport Pro, GetRight and BlackWidow, there are some others I've used, but can't recall all their names. (If someone mentions them, I should remember)

One website had 6500 of them and TP downloaded them all without a problem. On other other hand, Goldenweb and Grtsites are two that I can't do with TP.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who is familiar enough with these kind of programs and who can give me recommendations.

2. I admit, i don't know your program
I'm using wget for siterips.

But your problem is probably only caused by wrong settings.

If the files you want are located at a different URL than the webpages, most programs wouldn't download them by default, because it's not a good idea to mirror the whole internet.
Try to change settings to mirror the original site recursively and follow the links to other sites but only download the directly linked files. By the way, normally theese files are on an ftp server.

So a good wget option to get them would be "--mirror --follow_ftp".
I don't know your program, so you have to experiment a little bit.
:hi:
