I noticed that I'm driving slower
because of the price of gas. I live in a small town and the drive to the next larger town if often required to get anything done. I used to drive 70mph but today I'm going to throttle down to 60mph during that 15 mile commute.
I also bought a Scotts' push reel mower today. It works fine.

Are you doing anything different because of the price of gas?

3. What is the speed limit on that road?
I more or less go back & forth to a town 200 miles away. It takes me 2 hour and 40 minutes at 70 mph.
I read a LTTE this last week and some idiot want to lower the speed limit to 55 again. It will take me 3 hours and 35 minutes to make the same trip.

55 MPH on this? Get real. The boredom can kill you.

4. Well I used to go to work via the Freeway
now I take the back roads at 35 mph and I drive 8 fewer miles each way. I fill up once every two weeks now instead of weekly. I also try to use the a/c only when I'm desperate. I bring my lunch now too.

5. I noticed the difference the speed makes
I make fairly long trips up the motorway regularly; I usually drive between 80 and 90mph, and my car does about 36mpg at that speed. Last time, I tried sticking to 70mph all the way, and that time I managed 47mpg. Big difference.
