"The Aristocrats"

So who here has been to see this comedy documentary? I just went today and laughed all the way through it. (Not for the faint-hearted when it comes to scatological language.)

I've heard that Bob Saget's version is the nastiest.

3. Seen it twice. I LOVE IT! Especially Saget and this guy:

Even the mime was hysterical!

4. Liked it but didn't think it lived up to the extreme hype.

It's so rude and crude that it's a bit difficult to listen to the continuous depravity for so long even for nonprudes.

It's nice for giving a little insight into show biz and the world of comedians.

Someone, I think on imdb.com, suggested that the whole thing was a device, an artificial conceit to make the film around and there's no such thing as the Aristocrat joke. I wondered if that's true. I certainly had never heard of it prior to this film, but I'm no comedy insider either.

These were good examples of how the telling of the joke reflects the individual comic's style.

5. I read about the joke in Gershon Legman's (yep, that's his name)

"Rationale of the Dirty Joke" over 30 years ago. It's the last joke in the enormous two-volume book.
